We are an independent opticians practice based in Broadheath, Altrincham with over 35 years of experience in eyecare. We are passionate about what we do and what sets us apart from other opticians is our investment in Optomap and OCT technology, which enables us to see more of your eye than is possible with conventional equipment. This enables us to detect any eye condition at the earliest possible stage.
We are able to detect conditions such as glaucoma up to 9 years earlier than would be possible with a conventional eye examination. In a very short space of time, we have helped some of our patients like Jude Ledger avoid sight loss occurring through a retinal tear and others with retinal detachments. These patients had no symptoms.

Optomap
Optomap digital retinal imaging is a unique technology that captures more than 80% of your retina in one panoramic image, while traditional imaging methods produce a retinal photograph which typically only shows 15% of your central retina at any one time.
Using this technology, we are able to detect and monitor many eye conditions at a much earlier stage, often detecting conditions that may have been missed at previous examinations.
The earlier these conditions are detected, the earlier treatment is commenced and there is more chance of success.
